Specialist Area

I am responsible for the Not-For-Profit  New Business Team in BHP Insurances. This role entails ensuring that the team are dealing with as many new customers as possible whilst providing the best possible service. I also ensure that covers provided by the team are the best available through our many schemes and that premiums remain the leading in the market. In my role I get to deal with a full range of groups from one team soccer clubs to  County Councils.

Background

I began my career in insurance in April 2003 and worked in Gogan Insurances in various roles from Account Handler to New Business Executive. I have worked in BHP Insurances since August 2007 and have been dealing with Voluntary, Charitable and Not-For-Profit Groups since December 2007. I have achieved the Certified Insurance Practitioner and am currently working towards achieving the Advanced Diploma in Insurance.

My Advice

“Build a strong trusting relationship with your provider and be comfortable that they know your business from top to bottom. This will ensure that when a challenge presents itself, which is inevitable, that between the two of you, it can be dealt with it as efficiently as possible.”
